Background

Sue-Ann has worked in Financial Services and specifically in the financial advice industry since 1988. She is a Certified Financial Planner, holds a Master of Education (Adult), Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Development).

Her career includes 19 years as a financial adviser including the role of Region Leader of Financial Advice for Mercer in Australia, where she coached teams of Advisers in delivery of advice, and business acumen. In 2009, Sue-Ann transformed Mercer's financial advice business from one that recognised and rewarded only new business revenue to one that cultivates lifelong, profitable relationships with clients and rewards financial advisers for achieving this.

Upon returning to Adelaide in 2005 (after 6 years in Melbourne), Sue-Ann took over what was a failing financial advice business and her coaching skills saw her take the Adelaide advice business from being the worst performing Mercer office in Australia to being the second highest performing office within two years (second only to Perth – an office for which she was also responsible).

Most recently, she headed up part of the operations business for BT Financial Group (including Asgard) , an experience that taught her a lot about process improvement and the importance of streamlining operations.
